Quell donates personal panic alarms in support of Brisbane women

In a promotion with a Queensland radio station, Quell has provided 300 personal panic alarms to help keep people safe when walking and jogging. The promotion is being hosted by radio 97.3Fm in Brisbane in response to a recent spate of attacks on women exercising in the city’s parks. The event will take place at some of Brisbane’s popular walkways on Monday 15th of January with the aim of building awareness about personal safety.

“The personal panic alarm is small, light and easy to carry - ideal for walkers, joggers, night shift workers and the elderly,” said David Laundry, National Consumer Manager, Consumer Fire Safety Products. “It can also be easily activated by simply pulling out the pin for a loud 100 decibel alarm. To turn the alarm off, one simply replaces the pin to the plug.”
